Advancing Black Business, Ownership, and Opportunity

Atlanta’s reputation as the Black business capital of America is rooted in resilience, creativity, and collective action. The ATL NAACP Branch is committed to strengthening that legacy by advocating for policies and partnerships that ensure economic equity for African American entrepreneurs.

Our Economic Development Committee is focused on breaking barriers to capital access, supporting workforce development, and promoting supplier diversity in both public and private sectors. By amplifying local Black-owned businesses and championing inclusive procurement, the ATL NAACP Branch is working to make sure entrepreneurship remains a pathway to generational wealth.

“Economic freedom is the foundation of civil rights,” said David Means, ATL  NAACP Branch President. “We must invest in systems that empower our community to build, grow, and thrive.”
