Eric Richardson
Youth Advocate and NAACP Leader Advancing Education, Equity, and Civic Leadership
Eric L. Richardson is a labor leader, community advocate, and organizer whose work spans union leadership, civil rights, and faith-based service.
A native of Queens, New York, he currently resides in the City of South Fulton, Georgia. He is a graduate of Kensington High School in Buffalo, New York, and an alumnus of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Eric serves as Executive Director of the Atlanta North Georgia Labor Council (AFL-CIO) and is a board member of the Georgia State AFL-CIO.
He is also President of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists, Metro Atlanta Chapter, and a member of the Communication Workers of America (CWA) Local 3204. In addition, he serves as Chairman of the NAACP Labor and Industry Committee, where he advocates for fair labor practices, economic justice, and worker empowerment.
Deeply rooted in service, Eric is an active member of Fountain of Faith Missionary Baptist Church in Riverdale, Georgia, where he serves as a Sunday School teacher, member of the Men’s Choir, and participant on the Pastoral Search Committee. He also contributes to civic legacy initiatives as a planner for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. March Committee. Through labor, faith, and community engagement, Eric L. Richardson remains committed to advancing equity, opportunity, and collective empowerment.
