Dr. Kisha Walker

Championing Equity, Access, and Excellence in Education

Dr. Kisha Walker is an academic leader, special education expert, and faculty development strategist with more than 20 years of experience advancing inclusive teaching practices, innovative curriculum design, and educator effectiveness.

She currently serves as Academic Coordinator at Walden University’s Richard W. Riley College of Education & Human Services, where she leads undergraduate and graduate programs, oversees curriculum development, and drives faculty training initiatives that improve student engagement, retention, and instructional quality. Dr. Walker’s expertise spans curriculum and instructional design, accreditation compliance, teacher development, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

A nationally recognized presenter and published researcher, her work focuses on inclusive education, special education, educator well-being, and equity-driven reform. Beyond higher education, she is deeply engaged in K–12 and community leadership, serving as State Education Chair for the Georgia State Conference NAACP and Education Chair for the ATL NAACP Branch.

Through her scholarship, advocacy, and leadership, Dr. Walker remains committed to empowering educators, advancing educational equity, and ensuring student success at every level.
