Brent Bailey
Advancing Public Safety Through Policy, Prevention, and Community Power
Brent Bailey is the Criminal Justice Chair for the ATL NAACP Branch and a seasoned advocate for community-centered public safety and justice reform. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Louisiana.
Brent began his career with the City of New Orleans Office of Gun Violence Prevention, where he supported community-based safety initiatives, including the Barbers and Beauticians Fellowship Program. He has since led regional organizing and policy efforts across the Southeast and later served as a National Youth Organizing Manager, working in partnership with Atlanta Public Schools and Sandy Hook Promise to advance youth-led violence prevention, civic engagement, and policy advocacy.
Through his work with the ATL NAACP Branch, Brent remains committed to reducing gun violence, strengthening community trust, and advancing equitable criminal justice solutions rooted in prevention, accountability, and youth leadership.
