ATL NAACP Announces 2026 Jondelle Johnson Freedom Fund Dinner & Gala
“The Power Is in Your Hands” Gala will unite Atlanta’s leaders, changemakers, and community supporters for an evening of elegance, purpose, and impact. Will feature NAACP President and CEO Derrick Johnson as the keynote speaker, bringing one of the nation’s most influential civil rights voices to Atlanta.
During the event, the ATL NAACP will recognize individuals, companies and organizations whose leadership, service, and accomplishments have made a significant impact in their communities and respective fields. The Branch will also celebrate its recent recognition as the top branch in the nation at the 117th NAACP National Convention.
“This gala is more than a formal celebration—it is a call to action and an investment in the future of our communities,” said Honorable David J. Means, President of the ATL NAACP Branch. “The power to build a better future is already in our hands. When we stand together, organize together, love one another, and exercise our right to vote, we have the power in our hands to change our communities, change our lives, and change this nation.”
Proceeds from ticket and table purchases, and sponsorships will support the ATL NAACP’s works year-round, and it’s over 20 programs and initiatives, including voter registration and education, voter protection, youth leadership development, criminal justice advocacy, health equity, economic empowerment, veterans’ advocacy, and community engagement.
